BLUE CANTINA IS NOW OPEN AT THE BLUE INN EAST MARION
As some of you know, our lease expired at Stirling Square in February 2019. We want to thank all our customers and friends for five years of success at that location but it is time to move on. Basso will return when we find the right place with the right vibe so stay tuned.
In the meantime we have opened a different concept at The Blue Inn in East Marion, just down the road on the way to the Orient ferry. We call it Blue Cantina, a casual place with a large outdoor patio and comfort food prepared with the Basso flair. Think authentic tacos and salsa, jumbo shrimp pepperoncini, pulled pork sandwiches, lobster rolls and italian sausage heros along with beers on draft, wines by the glass and soon, mixed drinks at the Tiki bar.
We hope to see you at our new Blue Cantina this summer - it's worth the drive out of town!
Blue Cantina Content Coming Soon!
Come in after a day at the beach for a cold beer or a crisp white wine and some shack food!
Relax on the patio.
By the way, we still have some of the original Basso staples available at the inside bar at Blue Cantina.
Blue Cantina operates Memorial day to Labor Day (and a little beyond) :

People ask 'what is cicchetti?'
At Basso, cicchetti is snack food with style - cured meats and salumi, rare imported cheeses, homemade roasted peppers, marinated long-stem Italian artichokes, olives and much, much more, all served with crusty bread and combined in ways that bring new meaning to 'small plates'.
Our philosophy is to let you decide what goes on the plate, we will prepare it for you in typical Basso style with ample portions and beautiful presentations.
Wine is an important part of the Basso experience so all our wines are selected for quality first and foremost, with an emphasis on old world producers and varietals.
Our wine list changes regularly so that we can bring interesting new selections to our customers. You may find Barbera, Nebbiolo, Primitivo, Tempranillo, Garganega and Jacquere as well as more common varietals such as Sangiovese, Cabernet and Chardonnay.
Nearly all of our wines are offered by-the-glass, allowing you to explore and discover new favorites.
You will find only the best specialty foods at Basso market. Our suppliers import the finest regional specialties from Italy and Spain and we pass them on to you. Basso stocks olive oils, pastas, condiments, fish, sauces, bread products and more. All of our meats and cheeses are also available to-go.
